3 possible problems. 1. The rubber nubbin detents are worn down and need replaced. 2. The loader such as a Halo, will push paint past the detents and double up in the barrel causing a major mess. 3. Eyes are failing and need replaced. Make sure the paint is good, barrel match is good and the regs are set correctly.

What was temp where you were playing. I had the same problem and found out the paintball shells were freezing and becoming brittle I think it was around the mid to high 40's.

Hi all, Found out it was the paint we were using.
The first time was in the fall temp was in the 60s.
Last weekend we played indoors where temp was in the 40s.
Had big paint problems, both of us blowing paint.
What paint is the best for cold weather?
Should we change dwell and or lpr settings?

Generally in the cold winter months, you'll want to bump up your dwell and lpr a tad if you are experiencing shootdown/inconsistency problems. Of course that isn't going to help brittle paint. In that case you'll want to seek out paint specifically formulated for winter play - Draxxus Arctic Inferno is one that comes to mind. Otherwise find an indoor field to play at :)

Here is a little trick to try. Find one of those air activated hand warmers and activate it and wrap it around your barrel. It should help avoid paint catching in the barrel and breaking.

You can also try lubing up the barrel with some RainX or that Armson barrel lube stuff. Making the surface as slick as possible can reduce breaking as well.
