Alright, well, I just got my matrix and it is leaking down the middle of the bolt and also through the hole where you put the allen wrench in on the back plug. I have replaced the top hat oring and lubed it up, I have replaced the back plug oring and also lubed it, and I have lubed up the small oring on the back of the bolt. It still is leaking and I have no idea what to do.
Thanks for any help.

Is the bolt sticking forward like it's overpressurized? If so, it may be overpressurized.

Otherwise, just make sure you have the right sizes

Bolt is not sticking forward. It is brand new and so I'd assume that it would have the right size orings on it.
Thanks

I agree with Spec, especially if it is brand new. It is overpressurized and that is what is causing the rings to pop. The two leaks you are talking about pretty much only happen if the gun is overpressurized. What pressure are you running into the marker and what reg are you using?

Well, the bolt is definitely not sticking forward. I have tried turning the lpr and the centerflag reg way down and also have tried turning them up. I have lubed every oring on the bolt as well as replacing a few orings. Which orings should I replace/lube to fix this problem or what other things should I do?
Thanks

Back Plug leak - the two orings on the plunger

The leak out the front of the bolt - the two inner tophat orings

Those are the only things that could cause the leak. Make sure you use the right sizes

They are right. I used a matrix last weekend with a centerflag clone. It would creep up to 450 psi after five minutes and would overpressurize. That is when I heard the same leak you were talking about. I would have to release the pressure with the trinity and then re-chono. A big pain in the butt.

The first thing should be to get that reg under control. You need to find out what pressure is going into the marker. If you do not fix the reg then you will simly keep popping o-rings, regardless of how many times you put them back on.

If the reg is turned way down though, it wouldn't leak, would it?
Thanks

Well, I replaced and lubed the orings that Spec said and I aired it up and the leak seemed to be smaller and felt like it was coming mostly from AROUND the front of the bolt and maybe a little bit out the back plug hole. I, then, realized that I was very low on air (about 200psi). Is there any chance that I may have fixed the problem and it is just leaking due to the fact that it is so low on air?
Thanks

Yes, there is not enough air pressure entering the gun to seat the orings correctly.

In that case, I may have fixed it. When it was really low on air like that it was no longer leaking down the bolt tip, but it had a small and slow leak from sort of around the bolt and it had a very very slight leak out the back plug hole, but you could only tell that it was there if you put your finger over it.
Thanks a lot and I'll let you know how it works when I get some air. Also, I'll make sure to get a gauge for the reg asap.

Air will for sure leak out the back of the bolt if there is not enough pressure going into it.

i thought there was a huge ass thread somewhere around here about the centerflag clones valve pin hole not being drilled right causing the regs to creep and be very irratic. do a search and i bet youll find it.

just to answer to the original question

I had the same problems when i got my Matrix LCD out of the Box
and got quite upset at first

it was leaking all over the place
untill i remembered i still had to change my output pressure
to around 500
so after i did
that the matrix started to get pressurized properly and the leaking stopped

now i only have it everytime i pressure the trix up
or better
that i have a leak out of the backplate but that's just solved
a lil unscrew and screw of the backplate screw 8)

Fixed it and it works good except for some bad bolt-stick and a few other things (gun made a "ping-y" sound when I shot and was pretty inconsistent: +/- up to about 35 fps). If anyone has any ideas how to fix these things, I'd appreciate it. I'm going to do a search now tho. Also (this is before searching), how would I tell if I have a real centerflag or a centerflag clone?
thanks

well, if you took the bolt out make sure its assembled correctly or else you'll have fits at the chrono.

First thing to check is the beercan, that can cause same major inconsistancy. Make sure the longer part is facing forward.

The beercan in backwards will also cause the ping. Check that

Beer can is in the right way. Any other ideas? My pulse settings are 12/35 and I'm running 500psi into the inline.

hey i got a free flow matrix i had it for like 5 days and it is doin the same thing it pops the o ring out, the thing is i turned the reg down as low as it goes (black ice) and it still pops it out when I leave it there to sit. it will shooot fine for like the first 50 shots then it starts to hiss then bamm there goes all your air. does anyone know what is wrong ???? :(

Sounds like too much pressur eis building. I am not familiar with a "Black Ice" reg as a low pressure reg. I am positive you are bumping the pressure too much.

Are you using the High Pressure or Low Pressure AA Unireg Black Ice? Make sure its not the High Pressure Reg because it tends to not handle the lower pressure range very well. I had better luck with the AA Messiah rather than this Reg.
