Default Proto Matrix Rail PMR Design Details

Full release details here! http://forums.matrixowner.com/showthread.php?t=10039

With the inherent release of the totally new product line of Proto Matrix Rails. Can you give us any information on what we are to expect?
  • Will the frame be completely alluminum? Or a plastic/metal hybrid much like the ION?
  • Does this come stock with a Proto Barrel?
  • What type of regulator can we expect? LPR?
  • It appears that this marker will fill the void between the lowend and ultra highend markers. Is this targeted toward budget minded tournament players , or more recreational players (Tournament firing modes / efficiency / speed )?

Forgive me for bring this post back up, but I was wondering if there was any information (basically as questioned above) that could be shared with us with regards to the 'Rail'?

Of all 3 guns of the 07 Dye/Proto lineup, the PMR is the model that I'm not only interested in the most, but also the most excited to see.

Please?

Thanks for the info Dave!

I'm really looking forward to seeing this come out!

When you say co-moulded, is it a combination of alloy overmoulded in polymer?

OMG, why are you using polymer. That is like plastic. But i would rather have the body be polymer. so then it doesnt feel like a toy. the ion doesnt really feel like a toy because the frame. but any who my question is will we be expecting good efficiency(sp), and will you guys make aluminum frames, or any kind of metal frame

Think about this guys, there are EXTREMELY strong plastic polymers used in our everyday lives. Take for instance, Rhino ramps, used for driving a car up on. They weigh literally only a few pounds, but hold 12,000 pounds! You would never be able to crush, bend, or smash them. Another excellent example of this , are the new age Heckler and Koch assault rifles. THey are comprised mostly entirely of polymers! Only using metal were necessary. Ultralight, indestructible, lethal.

There are correct, and there are poor uses of plastics. So don't get too nervous when you hear the news.

Bingo.

You may think that it looks "cheap" or "tacky" or even "toyish", but don't let the word throw you off. If dye is going to use a plastic, it will be well suited. Alot of polymers are much more resistant to impact than aluminum.

Dude, we here at MO have seen the Rail, it is sick and is 5 times better looking than an ion. Trust me you will be impressed. Dont ask me any specifics, we are not allowed to divulge any specific info, but its aesthetics are on par with $1000 guns. I really like it.
